Busy Busy Vacation

To my horrors, my last post is more than 1 month ago, while I was still struggling with my papers. Well, my results are out already, and with S/U, I just managed to keep my CAPS. Not exactly where I want it, but you can't complain if you don't deserve it.

Several things happened. Some huge some not so huge. Let's go chronologically.

1) 21st BIRTHDAY!!
I'm legally an adult now! This year's birthday was celebrated in a little over the top fashion - at least for a person like me. I had a bbq (a party of sorts) which I invited friends from different walks of my 21 years of life. Swiss, JJ, Uni, church... It wasn't spectacular fun, just good food (ezb!) and quiet West Coast Park. Spent a bomb. Not sure if it was worth it. It's like the time when I went for Prom and bought a costly gown which I won't ever put that on again - just a moment of vainity. But well, it's still a great time meeting up with old friends (and make new ones!) For photos, go to my facebook!

I also got many other presents. =) Nothing beats sincerity, and you know sincerity; it may not have evidences, but you can feel it.

This year elf also spent a HUGE - and I mean HUGE - bomb on celebrating my 21st. (All I did for elf is a $90 wallet and NYDC...) Went to Sentosa and took many different rides, many of which expensive and short - just because I love to see views from up high. Plus - and this is the best - I GOT A REAL TELESCOPE! Real one! Not those you find in supermarket. It's close to xxxx (I don't think he wants me to say, but just know that it's too much for him even if he's working). And all these because I just started to know more about the celetial sphere through GEK15somethingsomething (Heavenly Mathematics module), and my neverending desire to see the sky in its glory since youth. I love my Celestron, but I have such woefully short time to spend with it. Not to mention that the things worth seeing are BEYOND MY SIGHT from my balcony. Cry.

Oh! And I had my FIRST and indeed very surprising birthday surprise! Shaojuan and elf lah... First SJ asked me out on 12th May afternoon for lunch - sort of like a celebration for me. Ok we went Sakae Sushi. Then went home. At 11.45pm (cos elf was so impatient), they BANGED on my house door and gave me a CAKE with a BDAY SONG! And apparently my parents were already informed in the morning. =.= They are good actors.

So thanks everyone who made my 21st birthday special!

2) DVBS
Great experiences, young adults' bonding wise. But I'll blog about this in a separate post.

3) Job
So right after DVBS I started on my temp job - personal assistant. Doing filing and calling and filing and calling and filing. Haha. I do learn new things, especially organisation wise, and interviewing wise. And almost everyday I got challenged to thicken my membrane like skin to call up strangers to arrange for appointment for my boss(es). If i'm doing this all the way till school start, it means that I won't have anybreak at all.

So, from birthday week, to one week of doing survey job (ad hoc money earning lobang which turned out to be very strength consuming), one week of preparing for DVBS, one week of DVBS, 2 months of temp job (no public holidays within this period...)

all these are equal to....

NO ONE SINGLE WEEK OF BREAK FOR MYSELF!!!!!!!!!! I use to be so bored I just rot at home. Now I can't even have a week where I can just do whatever I want to do. Not even saturdays with my tuition never stopping ($%*&$%$).

So it's gonna be a busy busy vacation.

Not a vacation really.... CRY
