Billy Bombers experience
So the the other 3 musketeers and I went to a Marina Square last Friday, and we ate an expensive meal at Billy Bombers. Anna, Shama and I ordered Surf and Turf (fish and steak). They come with potatoe salad (or fries), veggies, and tar tar sauce.
Ok, here's the exiting part. We ordered our steak well done. But Anna's plate is a medium rare steak, a far cry from well-done. So we called a waitress. The conversation went something like this:
Chris: Excuse me, my friend ordered her steak well done. But this is medium rare. Can you change the steak for her? (Chris did you say this? I can't remember well. haha) [points to Anna]
Waitress: [looks to anna] Er...yes?
The rest of us pek-chek...Shama just said nevermind and starts looking around for the manager. Couldn't find one. The waitress called her collegue to help us. He has ears and understood. So the plate got brought it.
When it came out. Nothing has changed except that they TOOK THE HALF EATEN STEAK AND CONTINUED COOKING IT! Anna was frustrated and complained that it wouldn't taste good this way. So this time we were determined to look for the manager. Shama went to the counter to the only guy who wears a tie, and talked to him about the situation (in accented English, just to add to the seriousness...haha). He then got the plate back to the kitchen.
So his explanation was this: Normally they would just recook the thing unless the customer specified that they want to change the meat. (What the...).
When the plate came back, the end product is so laughable. They gave her a whole new plate, but with obvious exaggeration. The fish is bigger, fried ALOT more, steak new, A LOT of VEGGIES (3 carrots instead of the normal 2!) and tar tar sauce filled to the brim!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROFLOL!!!!!
Just do a comparison for yourself between the 1st picture (my plate, the normal one) and the 2nd (her changed and exaggerated plate).Either they are trying to earn extra brownie points, or they are exagerrating to mock our complains. Either way, we had a good laugh over the table.
